Rising fish to midges on an absolutely frigid day on the Clark Fork. We couldn't feel fingers or toes but suddenly the river began to boil with fish. We fooled around with them until we put them down and then drifted to the next pod. Fun.
Rising trout on the Yellowstone with our friend Doug. These fish were going hard, and one in particular looked nice. In the end Doug managed to get the nice one to eat, but they missed eachother somehow. Such is fishing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqhklzamcHI Rising brown trout on the Rio Grande this summer. He was in a tough spot, but after an agonizingly slow scramble down to his level I managed to hook him (size 18 parachute adams). He was airborne once and gone. Pretty cool.
