Colorado & New Mexico Fly Fishing Guide Rita Adams
A classic monsoon season has hit NM this year. It's the kind of weather I remember from childhood. Lots of thunder. Fast dark storms. Our road has become a creek bed with regularity, leaving windows open has fried both cell phone and ipod, and the rivers tend to run chocolate after a good one, but I still love it. It will be hard to leave, but I'm off just the same...
to free my drift boat from a mooring of dust, revisit some old friends and hopefully make a few new. I'm planning to drive cross country starting next week, fishing as I go. Hoping JP will meet me in Livingston so we can discover what the Yellowstone is like when it's not twenty degrees and snowing sideways with gale force winds....then it's up to Kootenai country, and you can just call me Rita Rows. Can't wait for the blisters and the ache...for now anyhow. I think day four of the break-in phase in a ninety degree heat and JP ripping fish from the front might be hard to take. Hopper season!
